Agreed that vacations are a great place to dress up! Clicking your pics in smart outfits will make up for those lovely Facebook uploads for friends to admire!! So you need to carry a lot of outfits, matching accessories and the like when you travel. Oh, the kids need to have their cuddly toys, some gadgets and a maybe few games for their travel, so you pack those in as well. Then when all is stacked, you throw in a couple of extra outfits for each family member, ‘just in case you need them’!
Right? …..Absolutely wrong!

Even before this, did you know that the international airlines have stringent baggage limits, both for checked in as well as cabin baggage? Some airlines have upper limits for each individual pieces of baggage as well. For every extra kilo, the charges are very steep. There are higher baggage limits on international flights. However, if you plan to take any domestic carrier flights overseas, you may find that the luggage entitlement is much lesser.
Hence pack only the bare essentials into your travel baggage. Recheck the necessity of every item packed. Wouldn’t you want some free space in your suitcase for some irresistible items that you’ll buy abroad – be it new clothes, accessories, some home décor items and some gifts for family and friends?…
