Recently, when borders all over the world were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, my sister got stuck in Holland, Netherlands. I had to remit some money to her so she could extend her stay and it was becoming increasingly difficult for me to do it at our usual bank. I have been using bookmyforex.com to transfer funds to the US for higher education(both paying tuition fees and maintenence) from India. I chose them after researching online and realised that they offered the best exchange rates. Ashish, an employee, has been very prompt in his response and explains the processes( different for each type) to my satisfaction. There are no hidden charges unlike few other service providers. However, they may not have the best rates for currency notes.

I have used Forex card services(when my daughter was traveling to Dubai for education services) as well as Forex Remittance(for fee transfer to University). The rates are pretty competitive and customer service is reasonably good. Forex card- rates offered are 3-4% lower than the rates offered by traditional banks. Remittance- Rates again are competitive. Other charges are also less as compared to traditional bank. I used my traditional bank for first remittance- rate was high and the charges almost INR 9000. Bookmyforex- rate was almost 1 INR less than being offered by bank and charges were around INR 3000 only. In all, I would recommend their services(based on my realtime interactions/ transactions with them).
